The 75th Anniversary of the Repeal of Prohibition

Gangsters, speakeasies, bootleggers. They are indelible images that symbolize a dark period in our nation's history – Prohibition. But out of the darkness came the safest system of alcohol regulation in the world.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition and the beginning of an alcohol-regulation system that drives a competitive marketplace for beer, wine and spirits, and also protects us from the likes of "bathtub gin" and unlawful business practices.
